The original Planet Ocean 600M is equipped with many standard features of the OMEGA brand. It’s available in three different sizes: 39.5mm, 43.5mm, and 45.5mm. It also comes in a wide array of materials, including stainless steel, gold, and titanium. In addition, it’s offered with a number of strap options, including rubber, water resistant leather, or a metal bracelet. All of the Seamaster Planet Ocean models feature a unidirectional bezel, which helps divers track their immersion times. Today, OMEGA makes some of the bezels with a cutting-edge combination of ceramic and rubber. Both the bezel and dial also feature Super-LumiNova accents for optimal visibility in low light.

Over the years, OMEGA has continued to build upon the Planet Ocean collection by releasing new variations. In 2019, they debuted the Seamaster Planet Ocean Tokyo Limited edition to honor the 2020 Tokyo Olympics for which they’re the official sponsor and timekeeper. The model features a sleek and sporty all-white design with red accents as a nod to the Japanese flag. 2019 also marked the year the Planet Ocean Ultra Deep Professional became the deepest diving watch ever. The model set a new world record with adventurer Victor Vescovo, who took his submersible nearly 11,000 meters under the sea into the Mariana Trench with the watch attached to the outside of the vessel.
