Tudor Fastrider Watches
Popular Used Tudor Fastrider Watches
The Fastrider is the result of a collaboration between Tudor and the popular Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati. At first, it was only released as a special edition run, but the model was such a success, the partnership continued. Since then, the duo has conceptualized variations on the original model, namely the Fastrider Chronograph and the Fastrider Black Shield. As Tudor increases the development of its own in-house movements, we hope to see one in a new iteration of the Fastrider in the future.

About the Tudor Fastrider
The Fastrider is one of the newer additions to the Tudor family of watches. The first model launched in 2011 as the result of a collaboration between Tudor and the legendary sport bike manufacturer Ducati. The duo teamed up to create a fast-paced, utilitarian chronograph that was sporty and functional with a bit of that unique Ducati flair. The creation of the Fastrider marked the first partnership between the famous Italian motorcycle company and a Swiss watch company and secured Tudor’s place as the official timing partner of Ducati.
The first Fastrider was released as a celebratory special edition model to commemorate the partnership between the two brands. The design features Ducati’s trademark color scheme, red and black, a modern, oversized 42mm case, and a variety of strap options, including a classic leather strap or steel bracelet in addition to Tudor’s trademark nylon strap. The model is also equipped with an automatic chronograph complication, 46-hour power reserve, and quickset date function coated in PVD at the nine-o’clock position. The standard Fastrider was introduced in tandem with the special edition, with the primary difference being a more traditional silver and black dial as opposed to the bolder red and black.
The partnership between Tudor and Ducati has continued over the years, and as it has grown, so has the Fastrider collection. Two of the most notable variations of the model debuted just four years after the original. 2015 saw the introduction of the Fastrider Black Shield and the Fastrider Chronograph.
In the spring of 2015, Tudor launched the Fastrider Chronograph. Many characteristics of the model remained the same, like the 42mm case, 46-hour power reserve, quickset date function, and bold coloring offerings, this time green, yellow, and red to echo racetrack colors. However, there are a few updates to the Fastrider Chronograph. It features a new modified ETA 7753 movement as well as a contrasting dial and ceramic bezel, which is great for scratch resistance and coordinates with the PVD pushers and crown.
Later in the fall of 2015, the Tudor Fastrider Black Shield debuted. This version is a bit more of a departure from the original Fastrider models. It showcases a matte black treatment of the ceramic case and bezel, drawing inspiration from one of Ducati’s new offerings, the XDiavel.
There’s no telling what’s next for the partnership between Tudor and Ducati and the Fastrider collection. As the Tudor brand increases the development of its in-house manufactured movements, hopefully they will add a Fastrider Chronograph with one of Tudor’s own movements in the future. Only time will tell.
